World Design Week, or Design Week events that occur globally, celebrate design in various forms—architecture, graphic design, industrial design, and more. These events typically highlight innovative projects, provide networking opportunities for designers and companies, and engage the public with design workshops, exhibitions, and discussions.
Bratislava Design Week was first organized in 2015. Since then, it has become an annual event, showcasing the works of designers and fostering dialogue about design and creativity in various fields. It typically includes exhibitions, workshops, and discussions that engage both the design community and the public.
The porcelain set for two is designed for compact dining for a couple. The goal is to connect and bring people closer together. From my artistic perspective, a relationship is a binding where a whole is formed from two different parts. I would not emphasize the diversity of the individual parts, but rather the ability to create a connection—a relationship—and the effort to adapt.
The design emphasizes intimacy through its 'size,' focusing on moments spent face to face with a partner by a candle placed in the center. Despite the differences among people, each one has the choice to have different food and still feel a sense of unity and wholeness.
The service has an amorphous shape reminiscent of cell division. Its composition evokes mirrored shapes on each side. The design symbolizes relationships, the duality of the masculine and feminine principles, yin-yang, day and night, plus and minus, consciousness and subconsciousness, etc. At the same time, I reject categorization with an emphasis on respecting gender differences. It thus manifests equality and harmony, essential for forming any relationship.
