Ceramics Biennial at Stoke-on-Trent, England
The Ceramics Biennial, held in Stoke-on-Trent, England, is a distinguished event, featuring a range of exhibitions, installations, and events set against the backdrop of the city’s rich industrial heritage. This annual festival celebrates the creative potential of clay, showcasing the work of the UK’s leading ceramicists, alongside international artists and emerging talents.
In 2007, I had the honor of submitting my work to a design competition as part of this festival, which was known by a different name at that time. To my surprise, I was awarded first prize for my piece, "Tea Set Zero - Blue Version." This significant achievement led to my work being added to the archive at The National Museum of Stoke on Trent.
My involvement in the Ceramics Biennial has been instrumental in shaping my artistic journey, emphasizing the value of clay as a medium for storytelling and creative expression.
